Department of Animal Science

Department of Animal Science was established in 1991 and consists of five research groups.
Main object (duty): Performing research projects for solving the present problems in animal husbandry to increase quality and quantity of animal products, considering sustainable production.

Objectives:
 1 - Determination of nutritive values of different feed sources for ruminants
 2 - Study on feeding management of different farms
 3 - Identification of new feed sources for animal nutrition
 4 - Study for utilization of substituting feed for livestock
 5 - Study on different processing methods for feed treatment
 6 - Determination of nutrient requirement of livestock
 7 - Determination of anti-nutritional factors in feedstuffs

  6 - Determination of nutrient requirement of different commercial poultry In Isfahan
  7 - Utilizing different methods of reducing cholesterol content of egg
  8 - Presenting optimum models for feeding management of poultry
  9 - Promotion of genetic potential of native hens for egg and meat production
  10 - Studying different methods of native rearing at station condition
  11 - Studying different methods of gene preservation for native hens
  12 - Identification of productive traits of native hens in Isfahan
